Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

 

• “Company” refers to Sweat Equity Home Services LLC, which is providing the services.

 

• “Client” refers to the individual or entity requesting and receiving services.

 

• “Services” refers to any repair, maintenance, installation, or related work performed by the Company.

 

 

2. Scope of Work

 

• All Services will be performed as described in the written estimate or agreed‑upon scope.

 

• Any additional work requested by the Client that is not included in the original estimate will be billed separately.

 

• The Company reserves the right to refuse work that is unsafe, outside its expertise, or violates building codes or regulations.

 

 

3. Estimates & Pricing

 

• Estimates are provided based on the information available at the time and may change if unforeseen issues arise.

 

• Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

 

• Pricing may be based on hourly rates, flat fees, or materials plus labor, depending on the job.

 

• The Client will be informed of any changes to the estimate before additional work is performed.

 

 

4. Materials

 

• The Company may supply materials, or the Client may choose to provide their own.

 

• If the Client provides materials, the Company is not responsible for delays, defects, or failures caused by those materials.

 

• Materials supplied by the Company remain the property of the Company until paid in full.

 

 

5. Scheduling & Access

 

• The Client agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.

 

• Appointment times are approximate; delays may occur due to traffic, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.

 

• If the Client is not present or access is not available at the scheduled time, a call‑out or cancellation fee equivalent to one hour of labor ($60) will be billed.

 

 

6. Payment Terms

 

• Payment is due upon completion of Services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

• Deposits may be required for large projects or material purchases.

 

• Accepted payment methods may include cash, check, credit card, or third-party payment service (including Venmo and Zelle).

 

 

7. Cancellations & Rescheduling

 

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to one hour of labor ($60) will be billed.

 

• The Company reserves the right to reschedule work due to weather, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond its control.

 

 

8. Warranty & Liability

 

• The Company provides a 30-day limited workmanship warranty unless otherwise stated.

 

• Warranty does not cover:

 

o Normal wear and tear.

 

o Misuse or neglect.

 

o Work altered by anyone other than the Company.

 

• The Company is not liable for:

 

o Pre‑existing issues.

 

o Hidden defects.

 

o Incidental or consequential damages.

 

o Any manufacturer warranties on materials apply only as provided by the manufacturer.

 

 

9. Client Responsibilities

 

• The Client must disclose any known hazards, structural issues, or relevant property information.

 

• The Client is responsible for securing pets, valuables, and personal items.

 

• The Client must obtain any required permits unless otherwise agreed.

 

 

10. Health & Safety

 

• The Company follows standard safety practices and may refuse work that presents unsafe conditions.

 

• The Client agrees to maintain a safe environment for the duration of the work.

 

 

11. Termination

 

• Either party may terminate the agreement if the other party breaches these Terms & Conditions.

 

• The Client is responsible for payment for all work completed up to the termination date.

 

 

12. Governing Law

 

• These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which the Services are performed.

 

 

13. Limitations

 

• The Company offers unlicensed, handyman services and residential inspections as such the Client acknowledges the Company is limited in the type and scope of work to be performed. The Company is insured and will perform work within the parameters of its policy.

 

 

14. Acceptance

 

• By requesting or accepting Services from the Company, the Client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

t's hard to find reliable home repair services these days, but Jake absolutely delivered. He worked on several projects around my rental including deck repair, fence repair, light electrical work, building new railings, and some painting -- and I couldn't be happier with the results.


The deck and fence were in rough shape, and everything was repaired solidly and safely. The new railings look fantastic and completely upgraded the space. The electrical work was handled confidently and professionally, and the painting was clean, precise, and made everything look fresh again.


He showed up on time, communicated clearly about pricing and timelines, and left everything clean when the work was finished. No surprises, no shortcuts -- just honest, quality work.


What really stood out was the attention to detail and craftsmanship. Nothing felt rushed. Every project was done carefully and correctly.

I highly recommend Jake for all of your handyman needs. He is skilled, professional, reliable, and a great communicator. He shows up when he says he will show up, and he is upfront with his pricing.

Jake has done a variety of projects in our old house and current one including switching out interior and exterior light fixtures, building fences, refinishing decks, replacing baseboards, replacing windowsills, fixing "sticky" doors, landscaping, pressure washing, painting, dump runs, and many other odd jobs. He always does excellent work and has a good eye for details that others might miss.

My husband and I are not handy in any way, shape or form, so we've used quite a few handymen in our years on the central coast. Jake is the best, hands-down. He truly cares about doing good work and making sure the customer is satisfied, and his work ethic is top notch. He's our go-to person for all home projects, big and small, and I highly recommend him for all your house needs.
